Flower tag PP210

Hi all. I was tinkering around this morning and this is what I came up with for
The back of the flower (unseen) is attached to a small tag.  So this can be added to packages.

ADORABLE right!  I saw a tutorial for this flower a few weeks ago and decided when I saw this challenge, that this would be perfect.  Added the sentiment on vellum and butterflies.  Simple but lovely, I think.

Thanks for visiting.

Happy birthday boy card PP209

Todays card is a first I've posted in quite a while
It's in participation with

I was in the process of a move, so I was unable to craft for about a month.  talk about having some catching up to do... Right in time for school/ holiday season.
So here's what I created.
First off, I'd like to mention how I'm absolutely in love with the striped b/w tissue paper I bought at TJ Maxx some months back.  I have to limit my usage, so it'll last me a while.  lol

So I had a boy in mind when I made this card.
Masculine cards are hard, so I try whenever I can to make something I consider masculine.

To me, balloons and stars are perfect for any kid, & kraft, black & white are perfect for any male.

Here are the supplies I used:

CSC 192 masculine grad

Hi all.  Participating here with Case Study Challenge
Wida Miller is the muse this week.
Her card is at the end of this post.
So, my first thought was graduation, it's that time of year.
and I've been trying to challenge myself lately to do masculine cards.  So... here we go...

So the striped piece of cardstock that serves as the background was created with blended black/white acrylic paint to create sort of a slate color & SSS diagonal stripe stencil turned side ways to create horizontal background.

Meanwhile to create the 'strip of encouragement', believe it or not, I'd been tinkering around with all the encouraging phrases from Heidi Swapp mini stamp sets, trying to get this look I created here.  (BTW, I do believe I have all except one stamp set cuz i'm in looooove, Lol)

I kinda tipped it if off to the side for no reason at all, as well as added vellum behind it, for no reason at all.  lol. & I decided that the kraft base would give it a more masculine look as well as opposed to white.

Here's Wida's card
Thanks for coming on over to my bloghome.  Ya'll come back now, ya' hear...
