Get Better Soon

 It's Friday!!! Happy Happy dance!!!
It's been a looong work week.
Well...In the middle of making 100 invitations for my aunt's 70th birthday.  I have been actually getting a lot of other crafting in.  I guess it's keeping my mojo going.  Sometimes, I've got nothing; Even with all the inspiration out there.
So here's what I've got for today.
This card came from a combination of three challenges.
theme/ sketch

The plan for this came together fairly quickly, because there was no plan.
LOL I guess.
So, I masked the edges of the card base.  Slapped some water color around the edges and let it do it's thing.  I hand lettered the word Soon.  I think I used a Micron .03  then took a brush pen I have and added the thickness to the letters in spots.
Get Better is Lawn Fawns Milo's ABCs
& I used May Arts twine.
I decided to take the colors of the Card Concept challenge
and soften them up for a springtimey feel.

The simplicity of it, allows me to mass produce sets for upcoming craft shows.
I guess that's all folks.
Thanks for visiting.
Lots of other great cards in these challenges.
Check 'em out.

Hello CAS135

Hey guys.  So it looks like I'm keeping to my promise to myself to blog more. Yay me!   Anyway, quick post today.
Busy busy right.
This card is for:

I've been dying to use this Balzar stencil.  I love all things script.
So took my Wendi Vecci Translucent embossing paste stenciled it on the card front, then randomly sprinkled the powder in spots.  Heat set it.  Punched my tag from vellum.  added the heart and hello stamp.  clothespin and twine.  and we got a card ya'll.

So, of course I went with the tiniest tag I have to add to the card to match the mini theme for the challenge.
That is all for now.
Make sure you check out all the other lovely creations for this challenge.
Thanks for stopping in.

Ready for spring

Morning all.  It's a frigid -2 degrees here in the metro Detroit area.  Isn't that lovely.  The sun peeked through today early this morning and all I could think was how nice it'd be if it were warm to go along with all that sunshine.  So, I said, yep, flower card it shall be.  I often try to sneak in a card early in the morning before I leave for work. & it's normally not such a good idea, cuz I'm always running late.

This card is in participation with:

I'm so in love with the watercolor trend right now.
Awesome sketch from Sandy and of course cant go wrong with watercolor anything.
I've been practicing, and I'm sure I'll get better at it soon enough.  lol.  I like the way it looks though and intend to get a lot more practice in.
Below is the wood mounted stamp I used. I inherited it a few months back from a coworker who has long given up the art/ hobby of stamping/ card making.  (I can't imagine not loving this stuff).  Anyway, she brought me a big box of a bunch of supplies.  I'm pretty sure a lot of them are Close to My Heart.

So, there it is.  hope you like it.
Thanks for visiting.

sweet love

Hey there.  Happy V day to all.
Im participating in the As You See It challenge and the curtain call  they're both a first for me.  I wanted to previously and just haven't gotten the chance to.  In honor of V day the challenge theme is Sweet for both.  what are the chances, right???  So I have very few sweet stuff stamps, but I immediately knew what I wanted to do.
So, here goes.

I've been wanting to try the no line watercolor thing.  So that's another first in this post.  It was easy and fun.  I definitely intend to add this to my list of addictions.  lol.

You're Invited (post Vday sleepover)

So my daughter was dying to have a sleepover for Valentines day but we have an event at our church on Valentines day.  I told her we could have a post Valentine's day sleepover instead, and of course she loved the idea.  (any way to get a sleepover, she didn't care how).
She insisted I do handmade invites for her to deliver to her friends.  So here's what I came up with.  I love how it turned out.

I'm sharing this also for Casology challenge 133

Spellbinders hearts a flutter die (I backed the white heart with a red heart for depth)
