Simple and full of possibilities, right? Right. So this card came together pretty simply. I had the idea of the heart surrounded by the florals while I was sitting at work daydreaming like I often do, despite the pile of work sitting next to me. I'm so in love with my new stamps. Got lots of playing to do. I know they aren't quite new to the craft world, but new to me none the less.
Just got back from a local bar watching Luck and the Colts get man-handled by Brady and the Patriots. Sad day. Sad sad day. Not a fan of either, but my Lions were knocked out first round. I like to watch a decent championship game. Any who, I made this card earlier, but just had to post once I got home at 11 pm. Silly right. So I made this card with two challenges in mind.
Hey there. It's early Saturday morning and Karly is still knocked out, of course, so I've got some time to work before breakfast and the usual Saturday busy busy activities. We've been trying to get ready for another year of even busier craft shows. Lots of mass producing and repeat projects, but it's ok. I use the blog and challenges to keep my creative juices flowing. I guess. At least this year I will. Last year blogging was an afterthought. Hoping to change that this year for sure. I think I'm off to a good start. Anyway, I adore this card. It's got that vintage love feel to it, to me.
The supplies we're simple enough. It was a fairly quick card too. For me, a lot of times the time consuming part is coming up with what I want to do. Putting it together is the fun easy part.
(I often link to the supplies, but kinda lazy this morning)

and last but not least
A nurse I work with used to be an avid stamper and brought a case full of old stamps that she had no use for. (she no longer makes cards). the white scripted background came from her. I've had this box sitting here for months and had that stamp in the back of my mind for a while now. well it surely gave my card the kick it needed. I will definitely be trying to find more and more projects to use this on. I love script background stamps. Oh and the ink I used
Hero Arts Unicorn white pigment ink. It's a very potent, wet white. It all dries less potent, but it really does the trick, outside of embossing of course.
The red felt is bold and the perfect color red. I love it.
I had some cream colored sequins, it worked out for the CAS look I was going for. I was finally able to get a hold of the SSS feather dies. It took me forever to get them because every time I tried to order them, they were out of stock. I finally got them along with the SSS mini hearts dies (which are also always out of stock). Yaaaaaaay me.
